EcoDivas and R’ashion Camp Zambia is proud to team up with Anakazi to share Trash to Treasure accessories at our MADE IN AFRICA booth!

Come check out hand knit plastic bag purses created by Chikumbuso (a grassroots cooperative in which women who have been widowed by their husbands that passed away from HIV…they create recycled plastic bag purses as a source of income so that themselves and their children can survive), recycled magazine bead necklaces, and many other Eco Fashion items that were made by women in Zambia. Learn about how R’ashion Camp Zambia is going to educate more designers in Zambia to make beautiful fashion from recyclable waste. Lets clean up the streets and water ways with style!!! And save lives and the earth by creating jobs with the help of the Anakazi Women’s Business Network!!!

On Earth Day 2012 Taryn Hipwell’s Eco Fashion Website, EcoDivasTV.com, will be launching the first fully greened music video “Uber Super Feeling!” by Zambian pop star Kachanana, which was shot in Zambia, Africa at Munda Wanga Botanical Garden and in Los Angeles, California at Jalan Jalan Imports. Taryn shot, directed, produced, edited and repurposed all of Kachanana’s dresses, with the help of YEN Zambia members, B2K dancers, ECHS students and the Zulu Maniacs.

EcoDivas is once again teaming up with to Hip Hop influenced, multi-cultural, super Organic and Fly Broccoli City!

Earth Day is this SUNDAY so please come join us in celebrating how awesome our planet is and find out ways to make it an even better home for all of us!

EcoDivas is excited to announce the world wide music video PREMIERE of “Uber Super Feeling” by Zambian pop star Kachanana. It is the first ever completely green music video shot in Lusaka Zambia and Los Angeles California! Directed, produced, and styled with repurposed T.Hipwell designs by Taryn Hipwell (me, yayayayaayay!!!)!

EcoDivas has also teamed up with YEN Zambia… Billy Lombe aka Mr. Green and Taryn Hipwell aka EcoDiva will be sharing information about R’ashion Camp Zambia, which they created to bring US Students and Teachers to Zambia Africa in August 2013 to learn how to turn waste into fashions that save our beautiful planet and many lives as well. For every US teacher or student that participates in the program – a Zambian teacher or student will be able to also participate in the program. We will be looking to recruit anyone who wants to participate in helping us build the camp (think Habitat for Humanity) as well as gathering information for students and teachers interested in participating in this amazing Exchange Camp!

Taryn will also be showcasing a completely sustainable replica dress originally created by a very unique and ingenious designer May Katrantzou. This is one of many artworks that will be exhibited at the PIA gallery!

…and he came up with a fabulous way to repurpose bowling alley wood with legs made from high school bleachers metal. So, cool!!!

Wade was one of the cute boys that lots of the girls in high school at Seneca Valley (Pittsburgh) had a crush on…and even though its been years, and we are now miiiiiles away from each other…I am so excited to share Wade’s wood creations with you.

I will also add that it is rare for me to find something that I never thought could be repurposable, but

bowling alley+high school bleachers=a gorgeous table!
