Wade was one of the cute boys that lots of the girls in high school at Seneca Valley (Pittsburgh) had a crush on…and even though its been years, and we are now miiiiiles away from each other…I am so excited to share Wade’s wood creations with you.

I will also add that it is rare for me to find something that I never thought could be repurposable, but

I learned so much from him and from the students. What I was brought over there to share actually opened up further discussions far more serious than what you wear and how stylish and sustainable you look.  But it sure is a fun way to start the conversation with a sweatshirt made from recycled plastic bottles and hemp…trust me, those two words even got the most unstylish, boyish, skeptics on board to open their minds and learn how R’ashion (Recycled Fashion) could change the entire economic makeup and environmental standards of the country in a positive way!!!

1. What types of eco-divalicious things do you do in your daily life?
recycle, no more bottled water, keep unnecessary lights off, use my own bags when grocery shopping, eat tons of organic vegetables, support farm to table restaurants in my city, buy only “green” household cleaning products, collect rainwater for my gardening….etc, etc, etc

2. How do you apply being an Eco Diva (someone who is stylish and cares about the environment) to your business?
I screen print my designs onto stylish organic cotton T-shirts from Alternative Apparel. I made sure the shirts I chose could be dressed up for a night out with the girls, and just as easily dressed down for a day in shorts and flip flops.

3. What made you decide to get into Eco-design?  And what makes your work special?

When starting my business I was inspired by the fact that I could do my own small part in saving the planet by using organic cotton (it was my only choice). A personal passion for nature makes my work special.

4. What fun, fabulous and fashionable tips do you have to share with other EcoDivas and EcoDivas-in-training?

Pick up the book Gorgeously Green by Sophie Uliano. Drop little purchases in your purse not a shopping bag. Plant a flower garden and help save the honey bee. Pay as many of your bills online as you can. Buy green & eco-friendly gifts.
5. (To help alleviate eco-anxiety – no one can do everything, but everyone can do something). What’s one thing you can’t quite give up or change to be more eco (yet)?

I currently drive an SUV, but plan on downsizing by the end of the year.

I love Africa so much. And yes they are just as fashionable.  I brought some fun clothes and accessories with me.  Africans are so ready for Ecofashion to fly across the ocean and land in the shops and boutiques of Lusaka and Livingston, Zambia as well as even Jo-burg, South Africa.  Take a look as we’re having fun at MundaWanga’s gorgeous environmental park.  So many types of bamboo, aloe vera, raffia trees and much much more, Yayayayay!!!
