EcoDivas™ has evolved into something very special and we’d love for you to be a part of it. So, what can you do to be a part of this “something special”?
1. Our goal is to create awareness and build communities that focus on Eco film, fashion, cosmetics and food by sharing information from different cities around the world. So, if you have a story, idea or business, send it our way…we’d love to help get your message out.
2. We have created content that shows the silly, sassy, sexy, smart and sustainable sides of being green…”because no one said being Eco couldn’t mean getting a sugar-based spray tan!” ☺ Share your funny Eco stories. Everyone loves a good giggle!!!
3. Our passion has always been to showcase fascinating and creative women doing amazing things in the green scene. This year I’d like to create opportunities for young women to connect with Eco activists, experts and celebs to ask them questions that are on their mind. Watching young minds (well actually any minds) have that “Ah Ha!” light bulb go off is what’s going to spread fun Eco facts far and wide.
T. Hipwell’s Passion:
I have many philosophies that I adhere to…but right now, above all, I focus on “Being the change I want to see in the world.” – Ghandi
I foresee many changes happening in the fashion, film, cosmetics and food industries this year. And I hope, with your help, that we can create a positive shift in all industries.
I want Eco to be fun, flirty and fabulous. I have no desire to listen to talking heads so why would I expect anyone else to? I’d rather watch a hot chic, a stupid dude or a sensational YouTube clip (“Double Rainbows, what does it all mean?”) that everyone is passing around because it’s frickin’ awesome! I’d rather read something that is laugh-out-loud funny and kinda goofy that contains something interesting that I can share with my family and friends!
And most of all I want everyone to learn, laugh, share and KICK BOOTY!
The world isn’t what needs saving…it will be here long after us. I sometimes think I’m an environmentalist by default, because my biggest worry is all the toxic chemicals used in the film, fashion, cosmetics and food industries that gets washed down the drain into rivers and then into the water used in nearby schools and communities as drinking water which causes all sorts of terrible health issues, wildlife issues, and environmental issues.
But instead of focusing on the negative or pointing fingers, I prefer to simply show you the better choices…that way large corporations will see that consumers want something different, and they too will find ways to incorporate green lines into their businesses…and hopefully switch over completely to the green side, mwaaa-aaa-aaa-aaaaaa!
Most importantly people just need the knowledge of what can be done to make shiz happen. I have no desire to impose inconvenience on anyone. I have no desire to preach to the choir (because most of them like to sing along with me). EcoAnxiety is lame. So understand, I’m not perfect, no one is and this whole Eco thing can appear to be huge and overwhelming…and I don’t see why! For me it’s effin’ fun, dude!
So let’s put on our…
second-hand, repurposed PreLoved mini-skirt,
over our sustainable American Apparel organic cotton tights made in LA,
with a hot pair of vintage Dior stilettos we got from a “clothing exchange”
paired with an “A Lot to Say” T-shirt made from recycling plastic bottle fabric
and a Linda Loudermilk “Save the Water” necklace,
then put on a little Aubrey organic foundation,
dab on some Ladybug Jane petroleum-free lip gloss,
apply some Jane Iredale non-paraben shadow and mascara,
AND LET’S ROCK THIS BIZ!!!
Because I believe you can look EcoDivalicious and make a difference in the world! Feel good about what you use to make yourself look your sassiest (no matter what you want to look like) and share with a friend…it may make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Yay!
