GreenBliss EcoSpa was born out of the desire to fuse a connection between natural health, healing, and well being; and a consuming interest in the vital ecological issues of our day.

Randi brings 12 years experience in the wellness industry as a yoga and meditation teacher, lecturer, spiritual retreat leader, and creator of customized healing ceremonies and rituals, into the mix at GB EcoSpa.

Now, in addition to overseeing the daily business of GB EcoSpa, Randi writes, blogs, speaks, and consults as a green living expert.  She is Contributing Editor/Health & Wellness, and writes a monthly article, for the new green fashion and beauty magazine, CocoEco.  She has been a featured speaker at the annual BodyWise Conference for teen girls, and regularly speaks at both private and public Los Angeles area schools.  She has been featured in an NBC program “Your LA” , on the Expert Village website, and in a video segment on Sprig.com.  She was a principle organizer and Host speaker at the 2008 Urban Sustainability Retreat and Salon, and a panelist at the Sustainable Business Council’s forum on Green Health & Wellness.  She is currently at work on a book about mindful green living from A to Z.

Together with her husband Richard, a massage therapist, Randi is parenting their daughter, Olivia, “greening up” the Los Angeles home they bought 7 years ago, and driving their converted-diesel cars on vegetable oil.  Their home was recently featured in a photo essay on green homes and gardens in Sprig.com.

Randi is also producing and hosting a one day holistic retreat on Jan. 16^th 2010: A New Year’s Renewal.

It strives to use the most ecologically sound methods to treat and educate its clients while keeping pace with the newest trends emerging in the green and holistic lifestyle movement. Equally important is Green Bliss’s dedication to creating and promoting a model for community-based, environmentally responsible business practices.

GreenBlissEcoSpa treatments are always eco- friendly. No parabens, chemical or artificial preservatives, surfactants, or emulisfiers are used in our products or treatments.

Specifically, our products/supplies include the following:

• Non-toxic nail polishes
• Acetone-free polish removers
• Biodegradable cotton toe separators (for pedicures, instead of non-biodegradable plastic separators)
• Nut free massage oils and lotions
• Bamboo fiber and organic cotton linens (sheets, towels, robes)
• Linens laundered in eco-friendly detergents and dried with no chemical dryer sheets
• Premium Organic and sustainably manufactured when possible
• From local artisans and craftspeople, from owner-operated, and/or from small business interests
• From vendors who engage in fair trade practices
• We choose products that have minimal and or recycled packaging.
• We buy in bulk to avoid excess packaging and shipping.
• We encourage staff to car-pool or use alternative means of transportation when possible.
• We use as many methods of paperless transactions as possible through the use of email and e-commerce.
• We contribute 1% of gross to organizations which work to promote a healthier, cleaner environment, more compassionate urban life, equality for all people regardless of race, sexual orientation, or gender, and healthier, safer children. We have chosen front-line activist groups who have little or no overhead who make a difference by working in a more focused, streamlined way.
