The 22nd EMA Awards at Warner Bros
The Green Carpet was fabulously littered with Eco celebs, the Awards Ceremony really shined bright and everyone who won was humble and deserving! The 22nd Environmental Media Awards really blew me away this year.

The Environmental Media Association celebrated their 22nd Annual Environmental Media Awards at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank. Jessica Alba and Ian Somerhalder were among tonight’s honorees, acknowledged for their respective green initiatives. Tonight’s big winners included HBO’s “Veep”, Dr. Seuss, The Lorax, TNT’s “Dallas” and more. Presenters and guests included Malin Akerman, Julie Bowen, Danny DeVito, Carla Gugino, Tobey Maguire, Jesse Metcalfe, Emily VanCamp, Paula Abdul and many others.
Honorees Jessica Alba (EMA Green Parent Award) mom and founder of The Honest Co., Kelly Chapman Meyer (EMA Lifetime Achievement Award) A Super EcoDiva that works really hard to get socially and environmentally sustainable organizations launch and properly funded, Elon Musk (EMA Corporate Responsibility Award) a brainiac that thinks so far outside the box, that he has probably forgotten that there is a box at all and Ian Somerhalder (EMA Futures Award) was the biggest surprise to me…I had no idea what types of initiatives and organizations he is a part of, “Wow!” He is the type of man that every girl should have as a poster above her bed…and not just because he’s soooooo cute.
The green carpet was amazing this year. I need to give some silly and serious Thanks to a few people. Thank you to Josie Roman for politely stalking Cody Horn so that I could get an interview with her. Thank you to Ecorazzi for letting me stick my mic in their shot when they were interviewing the always charming Lance Bass. Thank you to Danny Devito – when asked “What do you grow in your garden?” he replied, “WEED!” Thank you to Wilmer Valderrama for waiting 47 seconds while I finished interviewing Zach McGowen from Shameless…both of which recycle a lot of things that might surprise you! Thank you Lindsey Shaw for sharing that she has been trained by her recycle-a-holic mom to take pens apart and recycle each individual part! And thank you to Jessica Alba – when asked, “What is your favorite Eco Beauty Product?” she replied, “Oh my, there are too many to list!” GREAT ANSWER!
