Mr. Green and EcoDivas teaching at Namununga School Zambia

 

Namununga School:

4th grade students paint name, seeds and one thing that makes a plant grow. Lulu, Neati / orange seed, maize (corn), ground nuts (peanuts) / soil, sun, water.

EcoDiva teaching 4th and 5th grade students Eco Cosmetics and Eco Fashion. Explaining that fabric can be made by recycling water bottles and wood into fabric. Repreve and Lenzing‘s Modal and Tencel.

Mr. Green from YEN Zambia teaching tree dance/song to 6th and 7th grade.

Mr. Green, EcoDiva connect and talk about different environmental issues with secondary school teachers.

Secondary students (9th – 12th) were shy in class and then came up after class and asked lots of great questions – Fewdays (the boy) is in the Go Green Club

Some of the 3rd grade students – Erica in blue pants is a very curious EcoDiva in training

The campus is like heaven away from all the trash and issues going on just outside the gates. Clean classrooms, gorgeous landscape near the Main Office. The secondary students playing. 4th graders having, students playing between classes.

Students watched “Simon Says Let’s Stop Climate Change” and there is a small part where a character speaks Swahili and all of the students laugh.

Silky Oak Farm:

Puni created a bridge herself, the landscape, tree plantings, farm animals and a beautiful farm. Herbs, Onions, Rape, Spinach and Implua is similar to eggplant just smaller and white or red.

They have to use large rocks to keep the roofs down

Ant Hill, Wow! Bougainvillea grows wild like in Los Angeles. Hen houses, several are sitting on eggs right now. Red trees planted along the river to create a red dragon effect

Turkeys and Peacocks (a white turkey too) gone wild!
